May flowers, tulips, lilacs, everywhere, though some have faded. Maple leaves have deepened from their new green, and more trees flower.
Ollie’s donut free! We’ve resumed our long walks with gusto; his little proud strut makes me smile.
Fourteen months in isolation, with only these walks and a few cherished, slightly fearful visits. I’m now less than a week away from being fully vaccinated. Some of my friends already are. It’s not over, we know that it’s not, but it’s going to be better, and it already is better. For the first time in over a year, I have plans four nights in a row, and none of them are Zooms.
We’re about to find out just how much we have changed and how we will change again.
