Statue of Petricia Kerempuh

Statue of a musician, playing for prisoners

Why You'll Love It

If you’re strolling around the Dolac, you’ll likely come upon this curious sculpture of a musician playing for prisoners. I had no idea what I was looking at, so I decided to look it up.
This 1970s sculpture, by Vanja Radauš, is named for Petrica Kerempuh, a Croatian folk character who pokes fun at the powerful on behalf of the people.
