Why You'll Love It

So, I’ll be honest, I called the statue of Marko Marulić “Marky Mark” most of the time that I was in Split and only found out who he was right before I left. A Renaissance poet, he’s honored in Split’s Fruit Square with a statue by famed sculptor Ivan Meštrović. Split honors its writers, and I feel a bit guilty about my jest.
