Absolutely Wonderful

Why You'll Love It

Oh, Trogir, you are a dream. I had such a wonderful afternoon in late October when the streets were quiet, wandering this way and that through Trogir’s narrow alleyways. Old Trogir sits on an island and was at one point a rival to Split. This UNESCO World Heritage site is known for its Renaissance and Romanesque architecture, but the history of the city goes back to the fourth century BCE. My recommendation to follow every interesting nook and cranny and take loads of photos.

Know Before You Go

You might recognize parts of Trogir. It was Qarth on Game of Thrones. There are tons of tours that stop in Trogir (the excellent one I went on sadly isn’t operating this year). Otherwise, you can get a bus from the main station or catch a ferry during the season.
