Diocletian had athritis, and he chose the location for his retirement palace in part because it had sulphur springs. The Toplice KBC Split was built over the springs and still houses a rehabilitation spa today. Mostly, you’ll look up at the art deco sculptures, writhing in pain and snap photos of them.
