Centro Cultural Estación Mapocho

Cool cultural center in an old train station

Highly Recommended

Why You'll Love It

Opened in a restored beautiful train station in 1994, following Chile’s return to democracy after the Pinochet regime, the Centro Cultural hosts art and culture exhibitions, as well as conferences. It’s worth checking out what’s going on there while you’re in Santiago, if only for the cool architecture. They were hosting a fine crafts festival while I was there, and I had a hard time keeping my purchases to a minimum.
