Wanderlust: A History of Walking

Wanderlust: A History of Walking, by Rebecca Solnit

This was one of the first essay collections I read by Solnit, and, not being what I had expected, a sublime surprise. This essay collection explores the connection between walking and thinking, and how walking can be a radical act. Walking allows us the freedom for our minds to wander , which is something we need to cultivate in our speed-obsessed age.
